Creating New Avenues for Opportunity.

Before joining New Avenue, I was interested in media but didn't really know where to start. I had ideas, but I wasn't always comfortable speaking in front of people or sharing what I created.

Through the program, I had opportunities to learn about broadcasting, communication, and working with other young people. I started becoming more comfortable sharing my ideas and taking on leadership responsibilities.

What I liked most was being able to learn by actually doing things—not just sitting in a classroom.

Now I look at my future differently. I know my voice has value, and I want to keep learning how to use it.

I joined New Avenue because I wanted something productive to do and a chance to learn new skills. I didn't expect to meet people who would encourage me to think differently about my future.

The experience helped me learn about teamwork, responsibility, communication, and leadership. I also got to participate in activities where my ideas mattered.

One of the biggest things I learned was that opportunities don't always look like what you expect. Sometimes an opportunity is simply having someone believe you can do more.

New Avenue helped me see possibilities for myself that I hadn't really considered before.

I always knew I wanted to do something with my future, but I wasn't sure what that looked like.

Being around other young people who were learning, creating, and working toward their goals helped me start thinking more seriously about my own future.

Through New Avenue, I was able to explore new skills, participate in projects, and learn how different experiences can connect to careers and opportunities.

I learned that I don't have to have everything figured out right now. I just need to keep learning, keep showing up, and take advantage of opportunities when they come.
